A Little Bit More About CEF of Greater Houston

Child Evangelism Fellowship® is a unique ministry of evangelism and discipleship to children ages 5-12, though not exclusively. What makes CEF unique? This is a ministry that focus’ on the child that does not attend church. We have no building where children must come to; instead we go to where the child is. Children may be found in their neighborhood, on park playgrounds, in daycare centers, and at school. The vast majority of children are outside the walls of the church, may never attend any church, or Christian camp where they will be given the opportunity to receive God’s salvation by grace.

This organization draws volunteers from many denominations who serve in various aspects of ministry with one goal: To reach children for Christ and disciple them in the Word of God. We invite you to visit the provided links and join us in introducing the Lord Jesus Christ to the unchurched child.

The local Greater Houston Chapter of Child Evangelism Fellowship has been functioning as a ministry since 1948. Its first full-time director was James Davidhizar. Currently there is seven full-time staff, along with a myriad of volunteers, diligently working to win as many children to Christ as we can reach. The seven staff each raise their personal prayer and finance support team and receive no monthly funds from the ministry’s General Operating Fund.
